  • Production and regular update of a SCOPAC bibliographic database;
  • Inputs of sediment from coastal erosion - fluvial flows, cliff erosion and coastal platforms;
  • Exploration of initiatives within Europe for joint funding of mutually beneficial projects;
  • Contribution towards the Seabed Sediment Mobility study to the west of the Isle of Wight undertaken by CIRIA;
  • Various contributions to maritime archaeological research projects in the Solent and Isle of Wight area;
  • Contribution towards the Dorset Seasearch programme covering two projects : The Purbeck programme and the West Dorset project;
  • Production of a Shoreline Management Summary document which provides an overview of the whole of SCOPAC's coastline incorporating the seven SMPs, identifying a comprehensive research programme at both a local and regional level and the role of SCOPAC in promoting sustainable coastal policies;
  • Scoping Study: The Cumulative Effects of Marine Aggregates Dredging;
  • Sponsorship of a number of conferences/forums. Response to the House of Commons Agriculture Committee Inquiry - Flood and Coastal Defence;
  • Contribution to the Geologists' Association towards the cost of the Dorset Coast CD ROM project;
  • Preparing for the impacts of climate change.
