CIRIA Beach Management Manual (2nd Edition)

Launched at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton on 15th October 2010

SCOPAC provided a £10,000 contribution towards development of the updated Beach Management Manual, and hosted the launch event in Southampton in October 2010.

• The Beach Management Manual can be freely downloaded in pdf format (chapter-by-chapter) by those registered at the CIRIA website

• A paperback copy (£300) and a CD-ROM (£150 + VAT) is also available to purchase online from the CIRIA website.

SCOPAC Non-Technical Guide to Coastal Risk Management (2nd Edition)

Launched at the House of Commons on 22nd April 2009 The eighty page guide was written by Professor Robin McInnes OBE, Chairman of SCOPAC’s Technical Officer Group 1995-2009, and updates an earlier version by the same author, first published in 2004.  The new guide was launched to an invited audience of coastal MPs and coastal professionals by Cllr Roger Elkins from Arun District Council, current Chairman of SCOPAC, Andrew Turner MP and Robin McInnes.
