. Haslar sea wall, 1990. The shoreline has been stabilised since the 18th century. Note the lack of upper beach material along this frontage. It is thought that drift from Stokes Bay either accumulates or moves offshore at Gilkicker Point so that very little material is supplied to the Haslar frontage.
