Ladram Bay, 2001. Locally more resistant Otter Sandstones form headlands that define the bay. The gravel pocket beach comprises lithological types not available from the immediate cliffs, raising the possibility that its material could once have been part of a semi-continuous barrier located further seaward that disintegrated and was driven landward.
