Kings Walk, Lancing 2001. West to east drift of gravel is being intercepted by a series of rock groynes constructed at intervals between an existing series of timber groynes. These structures have controlled the 1997 beach replenishment and vegetation has developed on the stable backshore. Note the Adur estuary in the distance for the beach is part of the east trending spit that deflected the estuary inlet eastward.
