Severn Sisters Chalk Cliffs. The near vertical cliff face is undercut by erosion at the toe and fails by rockfall and slow weathering. Some 2% to 5% of the cliff face is composed of flint nodules, which contribute to localised gravel beaches as the cliffs recede at an average 0.2 to 0.3m per annum.
