Conigar Point, near Emsworth, Chichester Harbour. The defences are typical of many around the harbours in that they are becoming increasingly exposed to wave action and are nearing the end of their useful life spans. It is uncertain whether continuing to hold this defence line would be sustainable in the long term. The site has a history of flooding and is worthy of consideration for possible managed retreat for saltmarsh creation.
