Wootton Creek Tidal Inlet, 20.09.98.
It comprises an inundated and partly infilled valley system. Sands and gravels have been driven well into the inlet to forming recurved spits landward of the entrance. Note the ferry terminal on the south eastern bank and the wake of a departing ferry that has mobilised channel sediments. These ferry movements have been implicated in the erosion of the banks and foreshore of the outer parts of the inlet.
