SCOPAC RESEARCH

Undertaking research was identified as one of the key purposes of setting up SCOPAC in 1986, and is explicit in its original Terms of Reference – “Promoting, co-ordinating and undertaking research to increase understanding and improve management of the regional shoreline environment”. It immediately became a major part of its activity and has continued to be so throughout its subsequent existence.
