Historical evolution of the beaches and cliffs at West Bay following the infilling of the harbour walls in the 1820s. The shoreline to the west has become setback by 100m following depletion of West Beach and recession of West Cliff. East Beach fluctuates and by 1993 had eroded back (see Photo 7).
