Sandbanks Car Park, 2001. Rock groynes constructed earlier in 2001 have promoted accretion and have stabilised a previously eroding beach. This phase of erosion began in the 1980s and intensified with the construction of four rock groynes immediately to the southwest (to the left) in 1995.
